My Story
I am a filmmaker, writer and entertainment consultant with more than two decades of experience in the Los Angeles media industry. Born and raised in Indiana, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a film degree at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. While In school, I started my career as in intern on the hit series Friends (you can see me rollerblading through a scene in Season 7, "The One with All the Candy"). After graduation I worked in TV for a year, on productions like "Big Brother" and on multiple Nickelodeon live-action production.
I went on to produce and directed documentaries for Warner Bros., MGM and Universal, collecting stories from Hollywood talent such as Dennis Hopper, Peter Falk, Geena Davis, Harold Ramis, Tommy Lee Jones, Val Kilmer, Mira Nair, Rob Reiner, Taylor Hackford, and James Earl Jones, among many others. From there, I went to work as a director/producer's assistant at Tollin-Robbins productions, working on features for Walt Disney Studios and television series for ESPN.
I have written for outlets such as Huffington Post, The Wrap, Silicon Valley Business Journal, Los Angeles Business Journal and Los Angeles Business First. She has also written for crime podcasts, including "Solved Murders" for Spotify. I am currently working on producing and directing my first feature and am a consultant for Backstage's crew product.
